I bought this on the 25 Dec 12 to monitor the sausages, roasts. and whatever I want and when I tried it for the first time on 21 Apr. 13 I couldn't get a signal from the probe to the base unit. I changed the batteries in both units thinking that might be the problem but it wasn't so I used the old reliable meat thermometer. I have other Oregon Scientific products but this is not acceptable.
