I read the product description at least a dozen different times before ordering. I am sure that it included the transfer switch. When it arrived there was no transfer switch and the product description on Amazon.com had been rewritten to not mention it. It still shows the shipping weight as 607 pounds but the bill of lading from the trucking company showed the weight as 572 pounds. 35 pounds lighter. I wonder what that might have been? I have since worked it out with Acme Tools of Grand Forks (the seller) to buy the transfer switch at a competitive price, but Amazon is guilty of mis-advertising the product. Cannot give a performance review on the genny yet. Caveat emptor!
