I have used this Taylor thermometer for years and it is reliable, accurate and easy to use. You can use it in the oven while the meat, casserole, etc. is baking. Other thermometers have a glass insertion rod and can break. The stainless steel Taylor goes in without having to make a hole first with another utensil.
