Not too bad, at all. I have one that I acquired for free (don't ask) but it works really well. Super reliable and reasonably quiet. I have it in Mexico, in a remote location, where I lose power in the rainy season for 12-18 hours at a time every other day, it seems. I have to use a transfer switch/circuit panel for changing between the A/C (at night) and the freezers and reefers during the day, but it's not a problem (really, when I'm there, as lone as I have ice and tequila, nothing is a problem). It runs for 18+ hours on a tank of fuel, so it's not an issue and the cost to run is very reasonable. My only very minor thing is that I would like it to have been a little larger (say 10kw) so I didn't have to monkey with the transfer panel during the day, but the flip side of that is that the overall fuel consumption is very good, because it's a smaller unit. A few bucks a day keeps my casa fully functional when the power is out, and I have not had one single mechanical issue with this unit. I just turn the key, let it idle for a minute or two, bring it on line, and we're in business. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for good, reliable, quiet, back-up power. Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "6,500 Watt Diesel Generator with Wheel Kit and Electric Start" are high quality item.
