- Generac Commercial Series Liquid-Cooled Standby Generator - 150 kW, 277/480 Volts, LP, Model# QT15068KVAC Review

I'm sure everyone will see this thing and go "Ohhhh look this will be useful in case of a zombie uprising to power our house, while we cower in the basement and watch old Star Trek The Next Generation Tapes" But let's think that through for a second, ladies and gents...

First, you're going to get it shipped to your house and then just have it sit there? Nothing is worse than buying something you never get to use. This would be like car insurance times approximately 2,700. (I have a few speeding tickets). Plus, once everyone sees it go up and the zombie Armageddon DOES come raining down on your head, guess where ALL your neighbors are going to congregate? "Hey Jim, yeah I know I borrowed your riding mower a few months ago and gave it back with a chipped blade, but we're out of leather to boil and eat and my family is slowly going insane from the constant low moans and scratching outside their door, if we could maybe just get in there for an hour and get a hot shower and recharge our emergency radio..." You're not going to say no to that, because you're a sucker.

The trick to surviving the zombie uprising is to be PROACTIVE. Sure you could turn your house into a fortress and simply hunker down to wait for the undead to rot away, OR you could create your own zombie army to unleash upon the ravaging plague of the undead! And how do you do that? Well, I'm not going to tell, but let me assure you a large component of the process is a vast amounts of barely channeled energy, and maybe waiting around for a lighting storm worked in 1856 for Dr. Frankenstein, but as a busy Notary Public/Mad Scientist on the go, I need a reliable source of God-blaspheming power to raise my loyal horde of zombies. When Hell becomes full and the dead walk the Earth, me and my loyal mob of zombies will be facing it head on.

Pros:

Stylish good looks
Can be drowned out by any music harder than Fallout Boy
In a pinch can be hollowed out and lived in

Cons:

Not HOA friendly
Power experiences occasional fluctuations. Recently the voltage dropped below the minimum for my electronic gorilla cage locks to stay actuated and approximately 40 specimens escaped, so I've had to type this from on my roof. I don't entirely blame the unit however, as I forgot to throw the latch on my backup security door.
