I took a chance and purchased this unit even though no one had written a review. I was impressed by the 59 db rating as I'll be using this unit on my boat and I wanted something quite. The fist thing I noticed when I received the unit was it doesn't come with wheels as shown in the picture. I double checked the description of my unit and it doesn't say it comes with wheels so my bad for that. I do feel they should change the picture to reflect what you get. Now here is what I think is really misleading. Decription clearly states 59db rating but when I read the owners manual it indicates 59db @ 4 meters (12 ft). I looked at quite a few other manufactures and a lot of them indicate the Decibel rating at a distance but not the extreme max. I was about to pack the unit up and send it back based soley for that reason but my wife convenced me to give it a try and said I could sell it on Craigslist at a loss if I didn't like it. My only other choices for a decent quite unit was the Honda 3000 Handi which sells for $2,000.00 used on Craigslist so that's a big difference.

I filled the unit with gas and oil, prime the unit and it fired right up. I have a phone app that gives decibel ratings and I'm getting about 65 db at 12 feet but it's a deeper sound than your typical generator so I think I can live with sound. I plugged in a few items in to check everything an it seems to be working correctly. I given it a three start rating for the two reasons above but would rated it better had they been more honest.
